Instructions
Things You'll Need:
- Screwdriver
- Wire strippers
-
1
Select the location for the terminal block. This location is normally located at the back panel of the machine so that connectors from external sources plug in to the terminal strip. The other side of the terminal strip is located and accessible inside the machine.
-
2
Affix the terminal block to the machine by screwing the block to the bottom of the machine.
-
3
Strip the wires that lead to different locations within the machine. Use wire strippers to remove 3/8 inch of insulation from each wire.
-
4
Unscrew the terminals to allow the attachment of the wires to the block. Labels designate the types of signals within each block. These signals correspond to the signal it represents such as signal positive and signal negative, ground and power. Take care to ensure that the proper signals route to the correct wires.
-
5
Screw down the wires using the screwdriver. Attaching the wires to the terminal block allows the signals from the external sources to route to the proper location in the machine.
-
6
Attach any external sources to the outside connector of the terminal block. Most terminal blocks can also accept single wires and provide screws to affix them to the outside of the proper position on the terminal strip.
